It's a mobile store!

The Hive hit the road this past Sunday and set up shop at the Bombs Over Bowden tournament in Macon, GA. We supplied Buzz Bucks for the amateur payout and helped several people get a jump on their Christmas shopping. There were even a few people who weren't playing in the tournament who stopped by just to touch our plastic. Very cool.

The tournament was held on land adjacent to a ball golf course. The disc golf course is still a work-in-progress, but has some great potential. It's mostly long open shots with strategically-placed trees and brush and on Sunday, it was real windy which made it extra fun for me.
  • See below for FOX24 video with a quick glimpse of our store. Killer B Dog Aspen was in her bee outfit, but didn't make the cut.

Cactus in GA?
One thing that I did not expect was cactus on the course! I never would have thought that cactus could grow on the East coast, never mind Georgia. I guess I still have a lot to learn about my new home state.

During lunch, we ran the Killer B Long Distance CTP contest -- $1 a throw with half of the proceeds going back to the course. Players threw at a basket about 300 feet downhill and had to land in the landing zone to qualify for the Finals.

Four guys qualified but Keith Johnson would prevail by parking one 3 feet from the basket. It only took him two shots to qualify and then one more to win $8 plus the $25 Killer B bonus. Not bad for a $2 investment! Tyler Hamby finished second and took home $5 worth of quarters!

David Joiner won our other donated CTP and took home a Killer B shirt, disc, and reusable scorecard. It was great playing with you, David!
