Saturday
We arrived in Emporia Saturday afternoon. After checking in to our hotel, we headed over to Jones Park to scout it out and stretch out our arms. The place was packed and we jumped in on Jones East and started throwing.

With a few holes to go, Discraft pro Ron Convers Jr met up with us and showed us around the rest of East and then all of Jones West. It was great having him show us the best routes on every hole. He really paid special attention to our 16 yr old wonder boy, Aaron, and gave him a lot of encouragement and more advanced tips than he did to us old farts!

"Use a putter on this one," Ron said.
"I can't reach that with a putter!" I replied.
"I was talking to Aaron."

Sunday
Sunday we had another great day of practice rounds. We started early with a round at Peter Pan, officially signed in and got our great players pack at the Granada Theater, watched some of the field events, and then played a bomber practice round on Country Club ball golf course.

Hole 3 was especially nice because I aced it! 350 ft downhill. Wow!

Now it is time for rest, Ibuprofen, and icing down the ol' arm!
