We had a great turnout for week one of Hott Shott, considering the short notice I gave everyone!Twelve golfers played three rounds of random doubles, with each team member shooting three times. The four teams with the highest point totals then moved on to the finals where they all started back at zero. The winner of that round was crowned Hott Shott of the week.
Most golfers showed up early to check out the new store layout and the new "Hott Shott Training Area" as Pete May likes to call it. We have set up 4 lanes at the back end of the shop using new Innova Sports Travellers and special lightweight discs similar to Sonics. We pulled over a couple couches where we could sit and watch the action and had some tunes going.
After I welcomed everyone and reviewed the rules and new things we are trying this year, Pete announced the Buzz Buck Booty. On the last week of the month, the top five scorers of the month will have a 1-round playoff for a wad of Buzz Bucks. Thanks Pete!
After that we drew cards, found our partners, Marcy took her post at the scoring chair, and the action started!
Team Aaron and Pete and Team James and John battled for first place each round, but it was fourth place qualifier TomMac and Scott who turned it on in the Finals and won week 1. Nice job guys!
The top two teams won Buzz Bucks and TomMac and Scott also won a handmade coffee mug (courtesy of TomMac!). Join us this Wednesday night at the shop at 7:00. Just $3!
