Busy day of golf set for this Saturday

We've got a few things going on at the Hippodrome this Saturday, Nov. 15, so come out and chuck some plastic!

In the morning, we are running our weekly singles league at 9:30. Play for cash or Buzz Bucks!

Another Killer B Stinger is in the books!

Thank you everyone who came out yesterday to play in the 2014 Killer B Stinger presented by Vibram. We had 74 golfers compete in eight divisions on an absolutely gorgeous sunny autumn day!

• Full results

2013 winners Dustin Perry (Open) and Brandon Phipps (Intermediate) successfully defended their titles to become 2x Stinger champs while several new faces took their first Stinger title.

• Open - Dustin Perry
• Advanced - George Raacke
• Advanced Masters - Chris Sauls
• Advanced Grandmaster - Pete May
• Intermediate - Brandon Phipps
• Recreational - Alex Madsen
• Recreational Women - Ava Victor
• Boys - Jack Dunn

Thanks to our generous sponsors and donors we were able to give away a ton of prizes including CTPs and card winner prizes for both rounds. Pizza Hut and James Elkins also provided free food to the players after the event. And of course there were Borelli Brownies. Yay for sponsors!

Unfortunately, I only had time for a few photos this year. Check them out here.

We hope you had fun and made some new friends. See you next year!

Once again, the Rec and Intermediate fields are packed and for the first time we have three women and one girl playing! Nice!

Forecast is calling for a beautiful sunny 65* day, so our streak of rain-free major tourneys will continue!

Let's give it up for the Hippo crew!

Doug and Robert have been kicking butt prepping the course for the Stinger. Old Glory hasn't looked this good since the NCDGC!

New OB poles and rope and a slamming new teepad on Oak Alley await you! A few holes have been tweaked also so come out and check it out.

See all the photos on Facebook.
