New building update & holiday hours

We will be open Sunday until 4 PM and Christmas Eve until 2 PM.

We are moving into our new building the week between Christmas and New Years. Our hours may vary, so call ahead. The entrance you have been using for the Hippodrome and the pro shop off Highway 1 will close and change to Atomic Road.

Our new address will be:

Do not enter via the "back way" using the road under I-520! Park in the rear at the new building next to the auto body shop. Thank you!

Patriots Sunday Singles Tags Finals Results

Ed Simmons finished second in the putting contest.

The threat of rain kept most tagholders away today, but those who did show enjoyed some good golf, prizes, food, and friendship.

Tagholders 1 and 2 didn't show so Finals champ Dillon Meadows went home with #3 by shooting a very jolly 49! John Schneider won B pool with a 58.

Jack Korn pulled down a CTP and putting contest prize, Bo DeBruin earned a CTP with deuce on hole 1, and John Schneider won the Great Flip Off.

Everyone won free pizza, Borelli Brownies, and reindeer candy canes!

Look for a new Saturday or Sunday league to start at the Hippodrome next month!

We've got the Buzzzz!

I was sitting on the couch under the tent on a cloudy, chilly Tuesday late afternoon. I heard a truck pull into the parking lot and watched father and son Scott and James, first-time visitors to the Hippodrome, get out and start looking around.

"I saw the huge basket from I-520 and had to check this place out," Scott said.

"Great!" I replied. "Let's get you out there before the sun sets!"

Scott and James have got the buzzzz!

I offered to play a round with them and show them around so that they could get in a fast 18. We played from the Reds and had a great time. I even tweaked Scott's throw a bit and he was excited to be throwing farther than ever. "Now I just have to work on my accuracy!" he said as he shanked one to the right on Dry Lakes, hole 7.

They had a great time and each made a birdie or two. James even skipped his drive off the pond on Treasure Island to land a few feet from the basket. We finished in the dark but these guys didn't mind. "We'll be back!" they said.
