Stuck in the roots

Josh from VT sent these photos in. How the heck did it get in there?!
Josh: I had this interesting lie the other day. The disc flew over a little rise so I couldn’t see it land but it sure made a funny sound. Walked up over to find this.

See more in the Stuck Discs photo gallery.

And here's one from Keith in MA.
I was practice putting in my yard and I went a little high, hit the top and rested like that. I thought it would have fallen through.

Sunday Patriots league on vacation

Sunday tag league at Patriots is going on vacation for the summer. There are several tournaments going on the next few months and it's getting hot out there (my Northern blood hasn't thinned yet I guess). Feel free to continue to meet, though.

We'll resume after the Augusta Classic and finish off the year with our final Bagtag Bonanza in the Fall. So don't lose your tag and please spread the word.

Thanks for joining our league!

He grabbed my bag!

Cason beat me to it and grabbed our last mack daddy Latitude 64 Pro bag! Now he'll have plenty of room for his new Westside Warship too.

New sweet Latitude 64 arrives including the new Villain and Pure

We just received a batch of new Latitude 64 discs, including the new Villain overstable driver and new Opto Pure putter, and holy crap can I just say these things are beautiful?

The Swedes keep pumping out brilliant colors and swirly, pearly mixes that are just fun to see and touch. There were even a few colorshifts included that change from dark orange to red when you tilt the disc. And let's not forget about the sparkly Blitzes.

I've been using an Opto Pure since April and love it. I use it as a driving putter and for long approaches. The thing goes straight as an arrow with just a little turn to the right at the end if I crank it too hard. You should get one.

The Villain is described by L64 as "an overstable driver designed for those who have a big arm and want to go flat out in any condition. It can also be used for tomahawk throws and as a forehand finesse driver." It is a speed 12 driver with 0 turn and 4 fade.

Come down to the store and check these out because the photos just don't do them justice!

Olde time Augusta

Coming out of the bank this morning, an old old-timer looked at the Killer B jacket I was wearing and said, "Disc golf, eh? You play down by the Lake?"

We chatted a bit and he said there used to be a swimming hole with a diving platform near Lake Olmstead. "I'm so old I know where everything is or used to be in Augusta," he said.

It was pretty cool to learn about the swimming hole, but really cool that this old guy knew what disc golf was in the first place!
