We had a great time this past Monday as we welcomed back our locals who participated in the 2012 World Championships in Charlotte. This group of golfers included two newly-crowned champions, Pro Legend Pete May and Advanced Grandmaster James Elkins!

FOX54 sent over a reporter and she interviewed Pete, James, former World Champ Chuck Hornsby, 9th in the World Josh Childs (Pro Open), and 5th in the world Aaron Doyle (Jrs Under 16). It was a lot of fun!

Can we get a collective "Yeah boy!" to the golfers from Augusta and MA who are kicking butt at Worlds this week?!

As of Friday morning, Augusta-area golfer James Elkins is dominating Advanced Grandmasters, World Champion Chuck Hornsby is a few strokes out of first in Adv Senior Grandmasters, World Champion Pete May is in a battle for first in Pro Legends, Aaron Doyle is on the second card in Junior Under-16, TomMac Garrett is making a push in Adv Masters, and Josh Childs is sitting in the top 10 for Pro Open!

For our MA friends, Stephen Economos has a six-stroke lead in Junior Under-19, Derek Brazauskas is in the top 20 in Advanced, and Wendy Boutin is on the third card in Advanced Women!

I'm obviously happy for everybody, but especially Stephen. Four years or so ago, he and his brother and Dad came to the course I was working at, Maple Hill, and asked what disc golf was all about. I gave them some loaners, taught them the basics, and the rest is history!

Keep it going, everybody and bring some titles home!

We are happy to be participating in Where's Waldo in Augusta!

To help celebrate Waldo's 25th birthday, small businesses around the country are hiding the striped adventurer somewhere in their store.
