We just got a bunch of these great stackable bins in at the store. Now you can make your Mom proud or your wife happy by organizing that mess of a trunk, closet, or garage!
(Or maybe all three for some of you!)
These bins are heavy-duty plastic and stack at least 6-high before getting a little wobbly. That's enough for at least 240 discs!
Stop by the store and check them out today!

Mini Bs
I gave a lesson this morning to Benjamin and Dyer over at PK Park in Augusta. After about an hour of personal instruction on form, mechanics, throwing, rules, and putting we applied what we learned by playing several holes.
The boys were a lot of fun and even taught me some new 7th grade vocabulary. (I try hard to stay hip with the young 'ins.)
Nice job today, guys and try to remember at least half of what we talked about!

A good Monday
Yesterday was a good day for Killer B. The updated PDGA player ratings were released and I continued my upward climb with a four-point bump to 946. That's the highest I've ever been rated and it's pretty cool. My next real test will be in January when I play in the Savannah Open B-tier where there is sure to be a larger field of quality players. That is a two day event, so we'll see if this 41 year old arm can keep up with the young 'uns.
The other good thing that happened yesterday was an article I wrote about the courses at the International Disc Golf Center in Appling, GA was published in DiscGolfer magazine. This is the second article I've gotten in the magazine; the other one was a big spread on the 2010 Vibram Open. I've also written a few articles for PDGA.com this year. It's been fun and way more interesting than what I used to write -- user guides for computer software and hardware!
Lastly, because we've been hit hard by Christmas shoppers, I placed a new Innova and Discraft order too. So, expect new plastic, bags, and baskets at the end of the week or early after Christmas!

It's a mobile store!
The Hive hit the road this past Sunday and set up shop at the Bombs Over Bowden tournament in Macon, GA. We supplied Buzz Bucks for the amateur payout and helped several people get a jump on their Christmas shopping. There were even a few people who weren't playing in the tournament who stopped by just to touch our plastic. Very cool.
The tournament was held on land adjacent to a ball golf course. The disc golf course is still a work-in-progress, but has some great potential. It's mostly long open shots with strategically-placed trees and brush and on Sunday, it was real windy which made it extra fun for me.
Cactus in GA?
One thing that I did not expect was cactus on the course! I never would have thought that cactus could grow on the East coast, never mind Georgia. I guess I still have a lot to learn about my new home state.
During lunch, we ran the Killer B Long Distance CTP contest -- $1 a throw with half of the proceeds going back to the course. Players threw at a basket about 300 feet downhill and had to land in the landing zone to qualify for the Finals.
Four guys qualified but Keith Johnson would prevail by parking one 3 feet from the basket. It only took him two shots to qualify and then one more to win $8 plus the $25 Killer B bonus. Not bad for a $2 investment! Tyler Hamby finished second and took home $5 worth of quarters!
David Joiner won our other donated CTP and took home a Killer B shirt, disc, and reusable scorecard. It was great playing with you, David!
Let us bring the store to your next tournament!
If you are running an event and want to provide your players with more than just a box or two of random discs for payout, let us know. We will bring our store to you and help make your event even better! Email us
- See below for FOX24 video with a quick glimpse of our store. Killer B Dog Aspen was in her bee outfit, but didn't make the cut.
